Emotions Run High at Bears vs. Vikings Game

Typically, fans are accustomed to hearing tenor Jim Cornelison deliver the National Anthem at Chicago events. However, during this particular Monday night, he engaged with the crowd, cheering along as he sang.
NFL fans tuned in for “Monday Night Football,” eager to watch Caleb Williams and JJ McCarthy go head-to-head, and it definitely delivered on excitement.
Cornelison, a familiar face at sporting events in Chicago, has been the anthem singer for the Bears since 2010 and has also performed for the Chicago Blackhawks since 2008. His vocal talents extend beyond sports, as he’s been singing “Back to Home Again in Indiana” at the Indianapolis 500 since 2017.
Additionally, he’s not just about singing; Cornelison has a noteworthy background. He’s involved with the Illinois Patriot Education Fund and also holds the title of Honorary Corps Commander of the Middle American Air Force Band of the US Air Force.
As he wrapped up the national anthem, military jets soared over the stadium, marking a memorable start to the year’s first Monday night game. It was a truly remarkable evening for those present.
