Jacksonville Jaguars (+3.5) vs. New York Jets — Mark Schofield
When was the last time I believed in Mac Jones?
Well, I wasn't an F1 writer yet, that's for sure.
But in a battle of two teams who are thinking more about the offseason and two organizations who are thinking more about who their next head coach will be and going down to Mobile for the Senior Bowl, I'm at home Give me a team to play.
Miami Dolphins (+3) vs. Houston Texans — James Deiter
Before the season started, I probably would have given Miami the advantage here. They're basically the same team that started the season with Tua Tagovailoa back under center. Houston's problem here is they're not performing right now.
of texans is a huge step back from his great 2023 season, and CJ Stroud is struggling more than anyone expected. Combine this with the fact that the Texans currently rank 31st in touchdowns allowed, and there's a good chance Mike McDaniel's offense will bite.
i would want to take it dolphin Totally yes, but +3 to the spread makes it an easier call.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3) vs. Los Angeles Chargers — JP Acosta
The Bucks have a new lease of life after the Falcons' recent missteps and are in first place in the NFC South. I think they found a lot of sustainability on the ground despite QB Baker Mayfield throwing four interceptions in three games. The group of running backs Rathard White, Bucky Irving and Sean Tucker have played very well this season, and coordinator Liam Cohen has done a great job of increasing his versatility on the ground. I like the Bucks here because of their offense and the lingering ankle injury Justin Herbert suffered against the Chiefs. as great as chargerDefense is fine as a unit that simply stops the run. The battle on the ground will be fun to watch, but if Herbert can't hit his stride, I think the Bucks can come through.
