NFL fans can finally catch a break as Week 8 of the 2025 season approaches. This week, there won’t be any international games, as the league is gearing up for matches in Madrid and Berlin next month. Also, there are no doubleheaders on “Monday Night Football,” allowing East Coast fans to get some decent sleep.
The Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Chargers will kick things off in a short week of action. As Saturday transitions into Sunday, there will be plenty of games to keep an eye on.
The New York Jets are still hunting for their first win this season, while the New England Patriots are trying to keep their status as the league’s favorite with a win against the Cleveland Browns. The Buffalo Bills are returning after a bye week, facing off against the Carolina Panthers. Not to forget, the Denver Broncos will meet the Dallas Cowboys in what is shaping up to be an important midseason match.
Aaron Rodgers has mentioned that the upcoming game against the Green Bay Packers is not a “revenge game.” This will be his first matchup against the team he left, and the Steelers come in with a 4-2 record.
The week will wrap up with the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Washington Commanders. Patrick Mahomes and his team seem to be back on track, although they might have a tough time against Marcus Mariota, who is set to start in place of the injured Jaden Daniels. Interestingly, Mariota was the one who led the Tennessee Titans to beat the Chiefs in the 2017-18 playoffs—this was when the Chiefs last failed to move on to the AFC Championship.
