Nick Hogan is grappling with the profound loss of his father, legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan, who recently passed away.
On Saturday, Nick took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute, expressing gratitude for the support he’s received during this challenging time. He acknowledged the overwhelming nature of his emotions, stating, “Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me. It really means a lot. I apologize for not replying to everyone yet. This is just… really tough.” He also shared a nostalgic photo carousel featuring moments with his father.
Nick revealed how comforting it was to hear kind words and reminiscences about Hulk’s life and their shared experiences. He described Hulk as “the most incredible person I’ve ever known,” emphasizing how he will always be his hero.
In his post, Nick characterized Hulk as the kindest and most loving father anyone could have, feeling fortunate to have had him in his life. “He wasn’t just my dad; he was my mentor and my best friend,” he shared. The bond they shared was deep, and Nick noted how much he loves and misses him.
Nick expressed his gratitude for having the chance to thank his father and convey his love before his passing. Reflecting on their time together in recent years, he said, “I’ve cherished those moments, and they truly are the best memories of my life.” He also hinted at a deep desire to bring his father back, yet he took comfort in the belief that Hulk is watching over him.
Hulk passed away on July 24 after suffering cardiac arrest at the age of 71. His family, including Nick, is mourning his loss deeply. Nick concluded his tribute by lovingly stating, “Thank you for being the best dad in the world, my best friend. I love you so much and will miss you forever.”
The news of Hulk’s death was confirmed by his representative, who expressed heartbreak over the loss of a great man and friend. Emergency responders were called to his home in Clearwater, Florida, where he was later pronounced dead at Morton Plant Hospital.
Nick had a close relationship with Hulk, unlike his sister Brooke, who has recently been estranged from their father. In March, Brooke accused both Hulk and their mother Linda of “vicious” abuse in a lengthy Instagram post, indicating she had faced emotional and verbal abuse throughout her childhood.
Hulk shared Nick and Brooke with Linda, his ex-wife of 26 years. Following their divorce, both Linda and Brooke have accused Hulk of various wrongdoings, resulting in a turbulent family dynamic. Amidst this, Nick remained a supportive presence for Hulk, even attending his wedding to Sky earlier this year, while Brooke opted not to attend, citing her own healing journey.
In her public statement explaining her absence from the wedding, Brooke emphasized the need for distance from her family to focus on her personal growth, expressing well wishes for her father despite their estrangement.
