Nick Reiner Pleads Not Guilty to Parents’ Murder
A subdued Nick Reiner has entered a not guilty plea regarding the murder of his well-known parents, Rob and Michelle Reiner, in their $20 million mansion in Brentwood.
Reiner, who was dressed in a brown jumpsuit and shackled at the hands and feet, appeared briefly in court for his arraignment on Monday. During the hearing, he only spoke once, responding “yes” when the judge inquired if he was prepared for the next court date.
For most of the hearing, Reiner maintained a blank stare. An unidentified woman waved at him as he left the courtroom, only to be escorted to a private elevator afterward.
The tragic deaths of renowned director Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle on December 14, 2025, sent shockwaves through Hollywood. Nick Reiner was arrested the day following the gruesome discovery of their bodies.
Ever since his arrest, he has been detained in a Los Angeles County jail without the possibility of bail.
Reiner’s arraignment was delayed earlier due to the involvement of high-profile attorney Alan Jackson, who requested additional time to consult with his client. Just a week later, Jackson withdrew from the case, handing the lead prosecutor role to Greene.
