YouTuber Faces Threats After Exposing Alleged Fraud
On a recent episode of the PBD Podcast, YouTuber Nick Shirley revealed that he has received threats of assassination, similar to those faced by Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. This comes on the heels of his viral video, where he discusses the shortage of children at various childcare centers in Minnesota purportedly operated by Somali individuals, one of which allegedly received $4 million in taxpayer money.
Shirley’s podcast appearance highlighted the harsh consequences of his findings, noting that his family has been affected by the backlash he’s received. “They’re saying, ‘You’re going to be the next Kirk.’ I mean, really? I’m just trying to expose what’s happening,” he stated. His concern for his family’s safety was palpable. “My sister gets calls from the news, and I just can’t understand why this is happening to us,” he lamented.
Shirley detailed how his personal information became public, raising concerns about his father’s knowledge of the situation. “It’s strange. I haven’t told my dad because I don’t want to add to his worries. It’s frustrating. Why target someone who exposes wrongdoing? I didn’t make this about politics; I just pointed out the fraud,” he insisted. Shirley also mentioned that a Somali man had been following his team and recording them during their investigation.
His investigation took him to Sweet Angel Child Nursery School, where tensions flared as he questioned individuals tied to the alleged scams. They resisted providing clear information, leading to confrontations outside the center.
Further complicating matters, resurfaced surveillance footage from 2018 allegedly shows Somali scammers defrauding the state of Minnesota by claiming funds for nonexistent services. The video captures parents dropping off their children at daycare, only to leave shortly afterward.
In a completely unrelated context, scrutiny continues surrounding the alleged involvement of Tyler Robinson in a plot against Kirk. Robinson reportedly expressed discontent about Kirk’s views toward the LGBTQ+ community in messages to his partner.
