Nick Shirley Responds to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz Over Fraud Allegations
Independent journalist Nick Shirley recently confronted Minnesota Governor Tim Walz regarding his management of a growing fraud scandal in the state. During a preview for “The Riley Gaines Show,” a new podcast from Outkick, Shirley recounted how Walz labeled him as far-right and a conspiracy theorist but hasn’t provided any counterarguments to his claims.
“When you’re just stating facts, there’s not much they can do,” Shirley remarked. He argued that stating that a significant portion of fraud in the state involves the Somali population doesn’t equate to racism. “Money being stolen impacts everyone,” he added.
Shirley Sheds Light on Minnesota’s Child Care Fraud
Reflecting on his findings, Shirley noted that despite his efforts to shed light on serious allegations, he has been targeted by those on the left. He emphasized that he believes what he uncovered constitutes fraud and expressed surprise at the backlash he received.
Last month, Shirley’s 42-minute video detailing the questionable operations of a Minnesota child care center went viral, amassing over 138 million views on X. The investigation triggered responses from federal authorities and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Walz, facing mounting pressure from these controversies, has recently stated he won’t seek re-election while dismissing any plans to resign.
Shirley Celebrates Walz’s Decision
Reacting to the news of Walz stepping back from a third-term bid, Shirley expressed satisfaction, claiming that his revelations played a significant role in Walz’s decision. He expressed disbelief at how the narrative unfolded, insisting that rather than targeting him, people should unite against fraud.
The complete interview will be released on Wednesday, providing a deeper insight into Shirley’s perspectives and findings. “The Riley Gaines Show” will be accessible across major podcast platforms.
