Rapper and pop star Nicki Minaj claims her arrest on drug charges in Amsterdam on Saturday was a racist plot against her.
Amsterdam police said Minaj was arrested at Schiphol Airport on suspicion of “possession of soft drugs.” Said Saturday, according to NBC News.
She was detained for several hours and was ultimately forced to cancel her first show in Manchester, but planned to go ahead with her second show.
Following his arrest, the “Super Bass” singer took to social media Declared“They’re trying to get me out of Manchester.”
In another post, Minaj claims that authorities in Amsterdam are trying to link her to a block of marijuana found in her luggage that she claims belonged to one of her security guards.
Now they say they found marijuana and are saying another group of people have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls. Keep in mind they stole my bag without permission. My security has already informed them that the pre-rolls belong to him. Oh yeah and the pilot is telling me to remove my Instagram post.

Sky News Minaj reportedly suspects that part of the motive for kidnapping her was because she is “a different race.”
“I don’t know the last time I’ve been this depressed about not being able to go to Manchester,” she told the livestreaming platform Stationhead. “Not only that, but I know this is being done to me because I’m confident in other races.”
“The way I was treated was really horrible and I wouldn’t want anyone to be treated like that. And yes, I’ve been to prison. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been to prison or not,” she added.
