Nicolas Cage’s son, Weston Cage, turned himself in and was arrested on a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon based on an arrest warrant issued earlier this year.
Fox News Digital confirmed to LAPD officials that Weston walked into the 77th Precinct in the early hours of Wednesday, July 10. He has since been released on bail.
The 33-year-old man was arrested at 7:57 a.m. and released a few hours later at 9:50 a.m. on $150,000 bail.

Fox News Digital confirmed that “the arrest warrant for Weston was based on a police report that was written for assault during an incident on April 28.”

According to People magazine, Weston and his mother, Christina Fulton, got into an argument at Christina’s Los Angeles home on April 28, which reportedly escalated into violence.

The outlet reported that police said Cage “struck both victims multiple times,” which resulted in injuries. The case was presented to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office on May 10, and Weston was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
Representatives for Weston and Nicolas Cage did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Nicholas has a 33-year-old son, Weston, with ex-wife Christina Fulton, an 18-year-old son, Kal-el, with third wife Alice Kim, and a 22-month-old daughter, August, with fifth wife Rico Shibata.

Weston has been arrested before and has been open about his issues with substance abuse: He was arrested in Los Angeles in 2017 for DUI hit-and-run, according to People magazine.

In 2015, Nicholas’ son spoke to the outlet about his sobriety journey, saying, “People thought I was digging my own grave.”
