Nicole Shanahan Funds Recall Effort Against L.A. Mayor Karen Bass

Billionaire Nicole Shanahan, who ran as a running companion to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in the 2024 presidential election, will pour millions of dollars into reminiscing about Mayor Karen Bass, the false and false mayor of the wildfire.

Nick Gilbertson of Breitbart News will interview Nicole Shanahan at AmericaFest in Turning Point USA in December 2024.

Politics It has been reported Tuesday:

Shanahan is listed as the leading funder for his efforts in disclosure on the campaign's new website and previously met with Bass supporters. Opponents of the mayor believe that her handling of the January wildfire in Los Angeles ignited her while on a diplomatic trip to Ghana, making her seem more vulnerable than ever.

“Nicole Shanahan is dedicated to bringing California back to its former greatness and has made a generous contribution to helping to launch this effort,” said Gerald Syronak, lead consultant at Recall. “She firmly believes Angelenos has the right to take Mayor Bass accountable for her mistakes.”

Even if she steals Flak for a trip to Ghana, or even dismisses the fire chief she was in charge of during her response efforts, it will take floods to get the bass out. Her opponent will need to collect around 330,000 signatures, accounting for 15% of registered voters in Los Angeles in four months to begin the recall. Her term ends in 2026.

Past recalls in LA have faced a sudden obstacle. In 2022, after an opponent of then-district attorney George Gascone handed over 26% of the signatures over the necessary amount of 26%, the county disqualified 27% of the signatures, saving Gascon from voter ruling for more than two years. He was defeated in a landslide in 2024 by Nathan Hochman.
