Nikki and Brie Garcia have publicly commented for the first time on the sexual assault allegations against former WWE manager Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis, the former wrestler’s stepfather and head of talent relations.
Former WWE employee Janelle Grant filed a federal lawsuit in Connecticut last week accusing McMahon of having traumatic sex with her and of sex trafficking other WWE executives, including Laurinaitis. A complaint was filed with the court.
Garcia Twins: “We are shocked and disappointed by recent allegations against members of WWE.” He said in a joint post on Instagram.. “Like everyone, we’ve had a lot to process since we found out about this last week. This is not something we support or condone, no matter who the other party is.
“We want all women to feel safe and supported at work and in their daily lives.”
The two former WWE stars, who were part of the company’s Bella Twins, did not mention McMahon or Laurinaitis by name in their brief statement.
Laurinaitis, who is also named as a defendant in the lawsuit, married Kathy, the mother of the Garcia twins, in March 2016.
McMahon was fired from WWE in 2022 as he was under investigation by WWE into sexual misconduct and hush money allegations against him.
The shocking lawsuit, filed last Thursday, has rocked the wrestling world over allegations against one of the sport’s most iconic athletes.
In the lawsuit, Grant claimed that McMahon used a sex toy on the wrestling star’s girlfriend, causing her to bruise and bleed.
According to the complaint, the former employee also alleged that McMahon and Laurinaitis once held her down by force in a WWE office while other members sexually assaulted her.
The shocking lawsuit alleges that McMahon and Laurinaitis told Grant during the assault, “No means yes” and “Take it, man.”
The day after the lawsuit was filed, McMahon resigned as executive chairman of WWE’s parent company, TKO Group Holdings, but has denied the allegations.
“I stand by my previous statement that Mr. Grant’s lawsuit is a lie, a far-fetched and salacious fabrication, and a persistent distortion of the truth,” McMahon said in a statement. “I intend to vigorously defend myself against these baseless charges and look forward to clearing my name.”
Laurinaitis has not publicly addressed the allegations.
After debuting in 2008, Nikki and Brie officially left WWE in 2023 and were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021.
