Nikki Glazer Performs Playful ‘Marty Supreme’ Take on KPop’s “Golden” for the Globes: “If Kev O’Leary Gives Me a Spanking”

Highlights from the 2026 Golden Globe Awards

After accepting the award for Best Original Song for “Golden” from the KPop sensation Demon Hunter, host Nikki Glazer wowed the audience with her rendition of the catchy tune, weaving in references to Timothée Chalamet’s new film, Marty Supreme. Honestly, she knocked it out of the park.

Channeling Chalamet’s character as a top-tier table tennis player, Glazer sang while holding a table tennis paddle, humorously recalling that the show asked her back to host with the instructions, “Do what you do, just don’t sing.”

She belted out, “But I had a dream. Marty Supreme.” The lyrics took a twist, involving a comical interaction with Goop. She continued, “So I’m here singing and staying committed like Chalamet. If Kev O’Leary slapped me on the butt, I’d just turn around and say…”

At that moment, Glazer mimicked getting spanked with a ping pong paddle—a playful nod to a scene from the movie. CBS quickly cut to a reaction shot of Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary, who appeared both amused and slightly taken aback.

Her rendition continued with an upbeat chorus, where she boldly proclaimed, “I’m not giving up on this song, yeah.”

Out of nowhere, Fran Drescher jumped on stage, channeling her classic nanny persona to tell Nikki to stop singing. “Sweetheart, you know I love you, but you have to stop singing. Your voice is just so annoying,” she teased, using her trademark voice, then added, “If you don’t stop now, I might kick you out of the union.”

Glazer replied, defending herself, “But you’re not even president of SAG anymore!”

With quick wit, Drescher shot back, “I get a free kill, honey.”

While it’s unlikely that Glazer’s take on “Golden” will claim any awards, her enthusiastic performance certainly brought a lively energy to the event.
