Nikki Haley mourns the death of her father on Father’s Day

Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley announced her father’s death online on Father’s Day.

“This morning I had to say goodbye to the smartest, kindest, most helpful, and most respectful man I have ever known.” Posted by Hailey she posted on social media platform X along with a picture of her embracing her father.

She said her heart was heavy after learning of her father’s death. Her father, Ajit Singh Randhawa, immigrated to the U.S. from India. He was a professor at Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina.

“He taught his children the values ​​of faith, hard work and tolerance,” Haley said. “For 64 years he was a wonderful husband, a loving grandfather and great-grandfather and an incredible father to his four children.”

She wished her father a happy Father’s Day and said the family “will miss you so much.”

South Carolina Post and Courier Said Haley’s father was with her when she announced her Republican presidential candidacy last year, and she took a break from campaigning in January to visit her father in hospital after he was diagnosed with cancer.

Haley dropped her presidential bid in March and said last month that she would vote for former President Trump in this fall’s election.
