Nikola Jokic can include coaching the Nuggets in the NBA Playoffs on his LinkedIn.

Nikola Jokic carries a significant burden on his shoulders, probably more than any other player in the NBA. He’s expected to be Denver’s leading scorer, rebounder, and also help facilitate the passing game. But asking him to take on a coaching role might be a bit too much.

Monday night is Jokic’s moment to stand out. The Nuggets need someone to lead them in a crucial Game 1 against the Thunder, as this series could determine who moves on to the NBA Finals.

Not long after the Nuggets unexpectedly parted ways with manager Michael Malone, assistant David Alderman stepped in impressively. However, it seems they could use someone with a bit more experience to make the big decisions.

This was particularly evident during a tense moment in the game when Jokic brought the team together to strategize a play.

But did Jokic really call the play? That’s not really his way. Instead, he focused on rebounding and passing to Aaron Gordon, who led the team in three-point percentage and certainly delivered when it mattered.

So, should Jokic receive a raise? He seems to believe he’s earned it—or at least deserves a new title.
