NJ high school senior accepted to 7 Ivy League colleges: ‘I’m still processing it’

From blue to blue.

The New Jersey High School senior has violated his odds and his own expectations by being accepted into seven Ivy League schools.

Angel Ortiz, attending the Arts High School in Newark, was surprised when he received acceptance letters from elite universities Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, Brown, University of Pennsylvania and Dartmouth College.

“I’m still handling it. When I got the notification, I was shocked as I walked around the kitchen for two hours, but my mother sat there incredibly.” Ortiz, 17, told ABC7.

“I felt I could go to multiple ivys, but I never expected to go into everyone I applied,” the fantastic teen said.

Angel Ortiz, a senior at Newark Arts High School, is accepted by seven Ivy League institutions.

Ortiz, who wants to major in political science, has a reputation among his peers as the smartest man in the room.

“If I ask a question and every child in the class doesn’t understand it, they just point out that ‘Angels know it,'” he told the outlet.

“He’s always top notch and always at his game.”

Arts High School is a Magnet Public School located in Newark, New Jersey.

The young man in the Garden State was surprisingly partly due to his academic success being spent with friends.

But most of Ortiz’s work ethic has soaked him up with his mother, who emigrated to the United States 23 years ago and his father, who owns a pizzeria.

“I always say to them how I work hard for you, that’s how you guys get to work. This is for your future, this is for you.”

“As the first generation of Latino sons of immigrants, I know that a path like university is much more difficult to access for people like us,” said the young Ortiz.

“I hope that now, in my university life and in my future career, I will be the best expression of my community and my loved ones.”

Ortiz attributes his work ethic to his parents. Both parents moved to the United States.

Ortiz will tour the prestigious institution of higher education before making a final decision. This must be done by your 18th birthday on April 30th.

Citizen-oriented students intend to pursue a career in law after studying political science.

The proud institution that opened its famous gates to the god Fita from Newark boasts the most troublesome acceptance rate in the country – Harvard 3.6%. Yale 3.7%; Columbia 3.85%; Princeton 4.62%; Brown 5.16%; Upenn 5.38%; Dartmouth 5.41%; According to Ivy’s coach.

According to the data, Cornell University, which did not apply to Cornell University, has an acceptance rate of 9.73%.
