A Hoboken, New Jersey, man has been charged with animal cruelty after he allegedly intentionally drove his speeding electric bicycle into an innocent goose, killing it.
Shocked people called 911 shortly after seeing Andrew Mullins, 30, allegedly hit a goose with a moped near Pier A Park on Sinatra Drive on Sept. 11. .
Officers arrived at the park just after 5:30 p.m., but Mullins had already fled.
However, a city spokesperson told the Post: “A person matching the description of the person riding the e-bike was located and positively identified as the suspect in the goose killing.”
The goose was taken to a veterinary hospital, but did not survive.
Mullins was charged with animal cruelty and spent the night in county jail. This misdemeanor carries a penalty of up to six months in prison and a fine of up to $1,000.
He also received a citation for riding an electric bicycle on a sidewalk.
Hoboken police have had run-ins with Mullins in the past.
On April 27, Mullins allegedly threw a wooden road stop sign at the windshield of a man's car in Queens.

Hoboken police arrested him on an outstanding warrant.
The driver of the car tried to run him over, leading to an attempted murder charge.
Mullins was also arrested on April 14, 2023, on an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault in Bayonne.
At the time, officers allegedly found brass knuckles on his person and he was charged with weapons possession.
