This New Jersey man is taking his search for a wife to a new level.
Mohamed Ibrahim's potential marriage is advertised on billboards from Times Square to Toronto.
“I promise I'm not an idiot” was one of the adorable phrases posted along with his beaming face.
“I'm tired of being the best man and not your man,” writes another.
A sign points to a website called findmohamedawife.com, where hopeful women can apply for a chance to date the 30-year-old suitor.
Yes, they have to fill out an eight-question application such as “What do you think you can bring to a romantic relationship?” “What’s your deal breaker?”
The ad has been effective since it was posted on October 7 as part of a campaign by Muslim dating app Muzz, with more than 1,000 would-be wives submitting applications.
“I wasn't all ready for this… I'm still not ready,” Ibrahim said with a laugh. “Obviously I can't go on 1,000 dates, but I'm going to see what's out there.”
He started seriously searching for his soulmate about two years ago. “I thought, OK, now it's time to find a wife,” Ibrahim told the Post.
“Like the typical New York guy who's been single for x number of years, I had a serious girlfriend about eight years ago, but we've only dated casually since then.” said the Harlem native. I currently live in Somerset County.
He tries every dating app and goes on a date about once a month, but nothing magic happens.
“I don't have any stories about crazy dates. . . . I think I was blessed just to have met a normal person. It just didn't work out,” he explained.
He is looking to meet a Muslim woman in her 20s or early 30s who is “beautiful,” active and family-oriented.
“I come from a big family with a lot of personalities, so it's mainly my four younger sisters, two brothers, my mom and dad, my in-laws, who I feel comfortable being around and blending in with,” he said. Ibrahim works as a client relationship manager in a technology company based in the leading Apple.
His goal is to get engaged within the next two years and start fathering a baby soon after.
“Ideally I would like four. [children] “I love three boys and one girl,” he exclaimed.
