New Jersey Transit Strike Resolved
New Jersey is set to see the end of its first transit strike in decades, as an agreement was reached on Sunday, just in time for the rush hour on Monday morning.
The Brotherhood of Transportation and Locomotive Engineers announced that after two days of talks, the final details of the agreement were finalized late Sunday.
This deal comes after labor union members halted operations late Friday night, creating significant commuting challenges for many residents in New Jersey.
According to Brett’s leadership, the commute nightmare will be over as rail workers plan to return to their duties. Regular service is expected to resume Monday morning.
While the specifics of the agreement haven’t been disclosed yet, it is anticipated that New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy will provide additional information later on Sunday.
This is an ongoing story, and updates will follow.
