No foul play in death of Chiefs fans found frozen in backyard as charges and cause of death finally revealed

Kansas City police confirmed that there was no foul play in the death of three friends, where three friends were found frozen in Buddy's backyard more than a year ago.

Friends – Ricky Johnson Jr., 38; David Harrington, 37; Clayton McGeeney, 36 – each died from “fentanyl and cocaine toxicity,” officials said Wednesday. According to the Kansas City star.

The dangerous drug bag was found at the home of 39-year-old Jordan Willis. There, a friend was strolling around to watch a Kansas City Chiefs football game on January 7th, 2024. Two days later, their bodies were frozen by the friends involved.

The trio's family and friends had long pushed the answers about how they would die left in the cold, but Willis claimed that his companion's body was totally ignorant just outside his door.

Finally, their loved ones will get some answers. Kansas City Police Department has now concluded its investigation. On Wednesday, it announced that it was presenting involuntary manslaughter charges against Willis and his suspected drug dealer, 42-year-old Ivory Carson.

Both men were arrested Wednesday afternoon.

“This incident is a tragic reminder of the dangers of street drugs,” Platt County Prosecutor Eric Zahn said Wednesday. “But, no doubt, the people who supply those drugs can be accountable when people overdose.”

Willis's DNA was found mostly in cocaine bags, but there was a considerable amount of Carson in the fentanyl bags, Zahn said.

A text message between Carson and the victim Harrington showed that he had sold drugs to a friend.

HIV researcher Willis claimed he went to bed early on the night of his death, and didn't hear his friends or family bang on the door as he said his headphones and fans were running.

In addition to missing the sight of his three friends frozen and dying in their backyard, Willis manages to overlook the car parked in front of them until McGuinney's fiancé broke the door and pushed her way.

Those strange details, and Willis' career, sparked wild speculation that he poisoned his companions with a concoction of his work.

Such a theory was fanned by claims from McGeeney's cousin. He told News Nation that Willis is known by his friends as a “chemist.”

However, sources close to Willis rebutted these stories, explaining that his work has nothing to do with lab science, but is based entirely on computational data.

Willis' lawyers say he was not the one who bought the drugs that led to his friend's overdose death.

“Jordan claims that he is not responsible for the purchase or supply of drugs that led to the death of three friends,” lawyer John Piquerno told the Kansas City star after the client's arrest. “We are very much looking forward to the day when the Ju judge can hear all the evidence in this case.”
