A male daycare worker who claims to be a woman and was caught sexually abusing an infant will likely not have to serve a prison sentence for the crime.
As previously reported by Blaze News, in November 2022, the Kentucky Department of Community Services said a man named Mark Childers, who identified himself as a woman named Maria, took a baby while changing a diaper at Explore Learning Academy in Paducah. We received an anonymous tip about sexual abuse. Kentucky is a city of about 30,000 people in the western part of the state, just south of the Illinois border. The tipster said Childers also made inappropriate comments during the incident.
Investigators followed up on that information in February last year. After speaking with Childers’ colleagues at Explore Learning, we learned the extent of Childers’ despicable behavior during diaper changes.
Witnesses said a co-worker had asked Childers to help change a diaper. His colleague was cleaning the baby’s genitals when he noticed that the baby was starting to show signs of distress. A co-worker asked if Ms. Childers was harming the baby.
The children then began rubbing the baby’s genitals in a “circular motion,” the witness claimed. Afterwards, he reportedly told his colleague:[T]The hat is her clit area and she loves it. It was a very fulfilling day for her. ”
When confronted with the evidence against him, Mr Childers told police that witnesses had taken some of his statements “out of context”. The director of Explore Learning acknowledged knowing about the accusations against him, but told investigators that she wrote him a letter.
Colleagues also claimed Mr Childers left the children in high chairs without attention for “hours”. redux report.
Childers was arrested shortly thereafter and charged with one count of first-degree sexual abuse of a victim under 12 years of age and three counts of first-degree criminal abuse of a child under 12 years of age. He was booked into the McCracken County Jail as a male and fined $100,000. hook up.
At that point Childers hired a lawyer and the situation quickly changed in his favor. Madison Leach, a male lawyer and activist who began identifying as a woman seven years ago, ultimately persuaded the court to release Childers’ bond unless he had contact with the children and Explore Learning. The bond was reduced to just $5,000. His gender designation in prison was also quietly changed to female.
Childers was released last month. He then took a plea deal that not only dropped three criminal charges of child abuse in exchange for his guilty plea, but also reduced the first-degree sexual abuse charge to sexual misconduct, a Class A misdemeanor. It was concluded.
Judge Joseph Rourke gave Childers a 12-month suspended sentence, in lieu of a six-month conditional discharge from hospital. Mr Reduxx argued that if Mr Childers complied with the terms outlined in his plea agreement for six months, he would not have to serve any jail time and his criminal record could be cleared.
Reduxx also tweeted: “It appears there is no need for Mr. Childers to register as a sex offender.” The store is currently confirming the information.
