No Labels Call with Ohio’s Frank LaRose Canceled After Backlash

A scheduled Zoom call between No Labels and Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose was canceled after a backlash after news reports about the call were leaked.

NBC News obtained an email from No Labels co-executive director Liz Morrison inviting people to a Zoom call with LaRose, who is running for Senate.

“The Ohio Senate race is between Trump’s preferred candidate (self-funder Bernie Moreno) and our longtime friend, problem solver and current Secretary of State Frank LaRose. “The decision was made,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison wrote. .

“I cannot recommend my support for Frank LaRose more emphatically. The choice is now between Senator Trump and an independent senator,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison said, referring to Mr LaRose as an “independent” and Bernie Moreno. He referred to him as Senator Trump.

After NBC News reported on the planned Zoom call, Ben Kindel, LaRose’s campaign communications director, claimed that reports about it were “fake news.”

“Fake news. There is no such thing as a call without a label. Frank LaRose has no connection to this group and his labels as a husband, father, Green Beret, conservative, and Ohio Republican are clear.”

However, audio from the call proved Kindell was lying when he said the scheduled Zoom call was “fake news.”

NBC News reporter Henry Gomez said that during the phone call, No Labels officials apologized for a “scheduling error” and said LaRose would not attend the meeting.

He said, “No Labels officials joined the call yesterday to apologize for the “scheduling error,” and audio from someone on the call confirmed that attendees would not be able to hear LaRose speak as planned. He said he couldn’t do it. Ben is LaRose’s publicist. He and Nolabels officials ignored requests for comment. ”

LaRose received funding from LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman.

Mr. Hoffman is one of the Democratic Party’s biggest donors. He works with left-wing billionaire George Soros to run a secret organization known as the Good Information Foundation, and has been accused of election interference.

LaRose praised No Labels, writing in a 2015 guest column for an Ohio newspaper: And I don’t understand that way of thinking. ”
