‘No one is coming to protect you’: Border Patrol agent gives dire warning about the ongoing crisis

Border Patrol agents who spoke to NewsNation explained how serious the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border really is, and to make matters worse, the situation won’t get better soon.

The agent was interviewed anonymously, and NewsNation shadowed him and changed his voice to protect his identity from being punished for speaking out by the Department of Homeland Security.

“The biggest thing is we don’t control our borders. The cartels control our borders.”

”[What] Don’t ordinary Americans understand borders? asked reporter Ali Bradley.

“The biggest thing is we don’t control our borders. Cartels control our borders. Everything we do is a reaction to what they plan. Usually with the king and ‘We’re just chasing pawns while the Queen does what she wants,’ ” the agent replied.

Mr. Bradley then asked about the seriousness of the threat posed to Americans by having so many people enter the country illegally. The agent said the threat to Americans is “absolutely” real.

“These huge give-up groups that we’re getting, you know, the media only reports what they can report, right? Statistically speaking, that’s less of the actual bad guys that we’re catching. Just a few. You can never catch the good ones…Our borders are never secure,” he explained.

The agent also warned that “no one is coming. No one is going to protect you,” adding that local law enforcement is dealing with an influx of criminals who are U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants committing crimes within the country. He noted that he was having a hard time coping. The agent stressed that Americans must prioritize their own safety.
