Concerns Over Chinese Nationals Crossing U.S. Borders
Former Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has made some serious allegations regarding a well-organized effort by China to facilitate the entry of Chinese nationals into the U.S. She suggests that this is part of a larger scheme aimed at altering the fabric of the country.
During an appearance on Fox Business’ “Mornings with Maria,” Noem pointed to intelligence indicating that networks backed by Beijing are equipping undocumented migrants with tailored documents and actively guiding their travel to both the northern and southern U.S. borders.
“We saw very coordinated attacks by individuals coming into this country from China,” Noem mentioned. “Countries I’ve worked with in Latin and South America have reported that there are operations in place to enable people to fly into their nations, almost like a travel agency.”
Concerns about increasing numbers of Chinese nationals crossing the southern border have been voiced by GOP lawmakers for years. Reports indicate that over 22,000 encounters were recorded during a surge that began in late 2023.
Now serving as the Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas, Noem contends that this operation is a systematic effort to get individuals into the U.S.
“They would arrive, receive specific documents, a backpack, then board a bus taking them straight over our southern border… The accounts indicate that they are primarily young individuals, mostly men, with a few women, highlighting a coordinated effort to alter our country’s demographics,” she explained.
“They have made this happen,” Noem added. “While we haven’t definitively linked it to the government, Chinese businesses connected to the CCP are likely collaborating with cartels to ensure their operations succeed.”
Noem emphasized the broader implications, stating, “China has a long-term strategy to undermine the United States. They aren’t just enhancing their military capabilities or manipulating currency. Their plan includes destabilizing our country from within by targeting the next generation of Americans.”
Noem, previously a congresswoman and governor of South Dakota, was ousted from her DHS leadership role on March 5. Her time in office marked a significant shift from the border policies implemented by her predecessor, Alejandro Mayorkas, during the Biden administration.
Under President Donald Trump’s directive for enhanced border security, Noem successfully initiated the lawful removal of thousands of undocumented individuals. Although her strict enforcement of federal laws faced backlash from political opponents, her approach helped restore a level of accountability at the borders prior to her appointment as Special Envoy.
