South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) is heading to the US southern border amid speculation that she will be chosen as former President Trump's 2024 running mate.

Noem and fellow Republican governors. Sens. Kevin Stitt (Oklahoma), Ron DeSantis (Florida), Glenn Youngkin (Virginia) and Brian Kemp (Georgia) supported Mr. Abbott's action.
“If the Constitution really did not have the power to protect the states from invasion, it would never have been ratified in the first place, and when it was ratified, Texas would never have joined the union,” DeSantis said in X. Told. “Texas follows the law,” while Biden ignores it. ”
Yonkin said in his X-Post that the Biden administration has “turned every state into a border state.”
Youngkin's post read, “Virginia stands with Texas.” “@GregAbbott_TX is doing the job Joe Biden and his border czars refused to do to secure the border.”
Meanwhile, some Democrats, including Rep. Joaquin Castro (R-Texas) and Rep. Greg Casar (R-Texas), have backed away from supporting nationalization of the Texas National Guard to bring it in line with court rulings and federal law. It has been announced.
Noem said he would be chosen as President Trump's running mate “in a heartbeat.”
The governor is campaigning for Trump in Iowa, and joins Congressman Elise Stefanik (RN.Y.) and Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who campaigned for Trump in the 2016 campaign and at the White House. Steve Bannon, who served as a top adviser to the organization, also mentioned Nom by name. Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) is among the people the former president thought he should consider as a running mate.
