Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noem said Friday that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) identified two “criminal leakers” within its rank and referred to the Department of Justice for felony prosecution.
“We have identified crime leaks internally. @dhsgov And we are preparing to introduce these assailants to @thejusticeeptept For felony prosecution. These individuals face up to 10 years in federal prisons,” she wrote in a post on social platform X. With video message.
“We plan to indict these two individuals and take them accountable for what they did,” Noem announced in the video, saying they leaked departmental activities and put the lives of law enforcement officials at risk.
The individual's name has not been revealed.
Last month, President Trump's “border emperor” Tom Homan said Colorado's Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions were hampered after the attack “leaks” and that targets could escape.
