Democratic strategist James Carville said Thursday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that he is concerned that President Joe Biden could lose non-white male voters to apathy.
Carville said this on MSNBC on March 6th. I don’t sugar coat this at all. We are not in a favorable position right now. It will be difficult to recreate the 2020 coalition, especially among under-30s and nonwhites. If President Biden is to come back and win, he will need to do better with centrists and swing voters. ”
Host Ari Melber asked, “Do you feel the same way?” Do you think anything changed with the State of the Union? ”
“I think the polls are a little bit better, I think so too. But we’re not going to repeat the 2020 coalition. Most people think we’re going to lose Hispanic men,” Carville said. . Young black men became less involved in this process, and that happened quickly.”
He further added: I think President Biden has a chance of winning the election, but the isolation of men in the United States, especially among so-called non-white men, is critical in terms of establishing an identity for his party and building its future. I think this is a serious problem. it bothers me. ”
