In North Carolina, nine individuals are back in the community following their arrest over the summer for allegedly assaulting a woman at gunpoint. Court documents reveal that Trivias Crouch, 23, was already in custody as of October 30, when his bail was increased because of charges including assault with a deadly weapon and assault on a female, according to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Reports indicate that Crouch confronted a woman and her child in Charlotte last July while she was in her car. When her mother intervened to protect her, Crouch is said to have yelled at her. During the incident, Crouch’s gun reportedly fell from his waistband, leading to him firing several shots in the air and into the ground nearby.
Things escalated when Crouch allegedly went to retrieve a baseball bat, which he then used to smash the family’s Mercedes SUV, and pointed at the woman before physically assaulting her.
This incident marks Crouch’s ninth arrest in the area, with the latest occurring just a day before his bail was raised to $20,000. He had been arrested on charges of felony possession of marijuana for sale, along with other related accusations.
Crouch’s history includes a string of various offenses, with prior arrests this year linked to trafficking opiates and heroin, as well as intent to distribute marijuana.
No immediate comments were available from the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, Crouch’s attorney, or the local Prosecutor’s Office.
