North Carolina mother, Ria Faggart, mistakes nail glue for eyedrops, glues eyes shut

A North Carolina woman accidentally picked up nail glue instead of eye drops.

Before she realized her mistake, she squirted some glue into her eyes and closed them.

Social media users were stunned by the turn of events, but it appears this is not an unusual problem.

One social media user commented: “Please let me know I'm not crying for your mama. She's our mama now.”

Another said: “You'll be crying for 6 hours straight. Please stop making nail glue look like eye drops.”

“I got nail glue in my eye so my mom had to wash it out and we went to the emergency room,” one person added.

One social media user commented: “I put nail polish on my foot and it started burning. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to put it in your eyes.”

“This is why we should all make different shaped containers for nail glue and eye drops, because they both look the same but are unrecognizable,” said another.

The woman's daughter, Leah, is using the video's virality to raise money for her mother, who is also a foster parent.
