North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis calls on gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson to sue CNN or drop out after porn site posts surface

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) on Friday called on North Carolina GOP Lt. Governor Mark Robinson to drop his candidacy for governor or take legal action against CNN after the network reported that the candidate had made disturbing posts on a pornography site.

“If the reports about Mark Robinson are a complete media fabrication, he needs to take immediate legal action,” Tillis said. I wrote to X.

“If the reports are true, he owes it to President Trump and all Republicans to take responsibility for his actions and put the future of North Carolina and our party above himself,” the North Carolina senator added.

Tillis' ultimatum came the day after CNN reported that Robinson, 56, had described himself as a “black Nazi” in one of a number of incendiary posts he made to the pornography website Nude Africa between 2008 and 2012.

“Slavery is not bad. Some people need to be slaves. I would like to bring slavery back. I would definitely buy a few,” he wrote in another post on the site's message board, according to the outlet.

Among other shocking posts, Robinson called himself a “pervert,” recalled “spying” on women showering at a public gym and called Muslims “dumb little devils,” according to CNN.

The outlet determined the post was from Robinson after seeing some biographical information and email addresses shared between Nude Africa users and the Republican gubernatorial candidate.

Robinson has denied the post, calling the report an “outrageous lie.”

“I can assure you that what you're going to see in this article are not Mark Robinson's words,” Robinson said in a video posted to X before the article was published. “You know my words, my character, and that I've been completely transparent in this campaign and before.”

Robinson also said he has no plans to withdraw from the election.
