North Dakota State Football Player Dismissed After Alleged Theft

A player from the North Dakota State football team has been removed after reportedly stealing a designer bag that contained high-value items, including an expensive Rolex watch, during a boat outing over the Fourth of July in Minnesota.

William Frattalone, at 20 years old, is set for a court appearance later this week, facing charges related to the theft of a designer bag allegedly containing more than $270,000 in valuables, among them a $228,000 Rolex and a limited edition item valued at $25,000, according to a complaint filed on August 27.

Interestingly, Frattalone is not the first to face legal troubles on the team. His teammate, Jaden Pickett, had a previous incident where a linebacker was sentenced to three years in prison after a gun went off during a threat towards another athlete last September.

Reportedly, both Frattalone and Pickett were involved in some disputes with other athletes at the university prior to the shooting incident. It’s been noted that Frattalone had been seen on video hoping to instigate a fight just before the shooting, although he himself hasn’t faced charges connected to that case.

The recent theft reportedly occurred at Maynards Restaurant, a spot in Excelsior, Minnesota. According to the victim, while spending time on a friend’s boat, his bag went missing as he ate on land.

It seems Frattalone somehow became involved with the incident, but the details are murky regarding how he knew the others. He attempted to enter Maynards with the bag, but an employee stopped him due to strict regulations on bags.

Claiming he needed to retrieve the bag for his car, an employee escorted him to the parking lot, at which point he quickly left the restaurant’s premises.

Afterward, another passenger from the boat reached out to Frattalone about the stolen bag. He reportedly dismissed the seriousness of the situation, suggesting his affluent parents would cover the cost of the stolen items.

In a search at Frattalone’s Minnesota residence, authorities discovered most of the missing bags and clothes, but the Rolex was notably absent.

Officers also found a video on Frattalone’s phone from July 4th showing the area where the docked boats and several bags filled with stolen items were located.

Tim Poracek, the head coach of NDSU football, confirmed that Frattalone has been dismissed from the team, and it appears unlikely he will have any chance of rejoining.

Frattalone is due in court this Thursday.
