Norway Moves Hotels Ahead of World Cup Match with England

The Norwegian football team has decided to leave their hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, due to complaints from players about disruptive noise from nearby construction and traffic. This change comes just before their World Cup match against England.

For the night, the team will stay at the Dalmar Hotel, but they’ll soon relocate to a hotel closer to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, as reported by a source.

Multiple players have voiced their concerns to team management, even submitting formal requests to FIFA about the matter.

“It’s tough to have to move, but everyone seems happy with the new arrangements,” noted Truls Daali, Norway’s logistics manager. “Some are worried this could impact the players, but they were the most eager for this change. We managed to move in about 2.5 hours. It’s not an ideal situation, but we sought to act quickly. A positive atmosphere is our priority.” He added, “Changing hotels isn’t great, but we needed to do it.”

The initial plan was to be in Miami for a week, but with the tournament stretching over six weeks, especially with such a crucial match ahead, they needed to avoid any potential cabin fever. FIFA confirmed the necessity of relocating.

Interestingly, the governing body of the sport has agreed to cover the cost for 50 rooms and security at the new hotel. Furthermore, the Norwegian Football Association will also pay any extra fees for player upgrade requests.

As they gear up for the match on Saturday, which is set to be a monumental occasion for Norway, it marks their first World Cup quarter-final appearance in 28 years.
