Zachary Jordan Arum, the Virginia troublemaker who caused chaos just before the Jan. 6 shooting death of Ashli Babbitt, was sentenced to eight years in prison by a federal judge on Nov. 7. , demanded a full pardon.
Arum, 33, of Centerville, Virginia, described herself in patriotic terms during her sentencing hearing before U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich, an appointee of President-elect Donald J. Trump.

Mr. Alam's lawyers submitted portions of the sentencing memo under seal, suggesting a more lenient approach was needed given his history of troubled emotions.
Mr. Arum is one of the most notorious participants of January 6, as evidenced by Capitol Police surveillance footage and third-party video. His most visible role was in the hallway outside the Speaker's Lobby, where Babbitt was shot and killed by Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd.

Babbitt then climbed into the broken right window and was shot by Bird. She died 31 minutes later at a Washington hospital.
