Notre Dame Cathedral is the answer to eternal trivia.
The Fighting Irish became the first team to win a home game in the College Football Playoff with a 27-17 victory over Indiana in the first round of the new 12-team playoff.
Jeremiah Love ran for a 98-yard touchdown, making it a big hit. On Notre Dame's next attack, Riley Leonard scored Jaden Thomas to make it 14-0 and the Fighting Irish quickly scored, although all Indiana could muster was a field goal.

Indiana's offense continued to struggle out of the locker room, punting on both drives in the third quarter and the first drive of the final quarter.
Leonard tried to score to give Indiana a 27-3 lead, but the Hoosiers scored two more touchdowns. On the second with 25 seconds left, a two-point attempt to make it a one-possession game failed, and the Irish's ball game was frozen.

The Hoosiers scored 14 points in the fourth quarter, but it was too late.
Leonard completed 23 of 32 passes for 201 yards, and Jordan Faison led the Irish with seven receptions for 89 yards.
The remaining three first-round games will be played throughout Saturday.

Notre Dame currently has a date set against Georgia for the Sugar Bowl, which will be held in New Orleans on New Year's Day.
