Nottingham Forest, who are battling to remain in the Premier League, raised explosive allegations after Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at Everton, with video of the match showing assistant referee officials showing footage of one of Nottingham’s teams Accused of being a Luton Town fan. Forest are refraining from playing in order to avoid relegation.

The move came after Forest had three penalty claims rejected by referees Anthony Taylor and Attwell.
The club said the lack of calls was “simply unacceptable to us as three extremely inappropriate decisions – three penalties not awarded”.
The statement continued: “We alerted PGMOL that VAR was a Luton fan before the game, but they did not change him. Our patience has been tested many times. NFFC will consider its options in the future.”
Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has expressed his displeasure over three phone calls – all of which involved Everton’s Ashley Young – but added: “If that’s the case then it doesn’t matter.” Ta. [Attwell] I’m a fan of another club.”

The defeat leaves Nottingham Forest in 17th place in the Premier League with 26 points, with Luton just one point behind them heading into the final spot in the relegation zone.
Nottingham Forest were also given a four-point penalty last month for breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations.
Nottingham Forest and Luton Town both have four games remaining.
Everton also received a six-point penalty for a similar offense earlier this season. His original penalty was 10 points, but it was reduced to 6 points on Everton’s appeal.
Everton are now 16th on 30 points after Sunday’s win.
