Now is the time for the Insurrection Act: John Doyle argues for authority against a 'criminal uprising'

In light of recent events, including the Immigration and Customs Enforcement shooting incident and a significant fraud scandal involving the Somali community, discussions are heating up in Minnesota about President Trump potentially invoking the Insurrection Act. John Doyle, a presenter on Blaze TV, has voiced his support for this idea.

Doyle expressed that while employing power can sometimes be counterproductive, there are instances where it’s crucial, stating, “not using it might be more damaging.” He believes that if authorities do not take decisive action, it could empower those on the left. Doyle further noted that resistance to mass deportations might intensify, leading to a more chaotic situation.

He argued that should the Trump administration target what he refers to as “criminal resistance,” it could lead those on the left to realize they haven’t actually won.

Doyle’s assessment suggests that the current energy of the radical left is diminishing. He pointed out the lack of reaction following Trump’s 2024 victory, contrasting it with earlier protests during Trump’s previous wins in 2016 and 2017, when there were notable riots and chaos.

“Where was the outrage?” he questioned, highlighting the absence of the usual protests such as the Women’s March or Antifa riots that characterized previous election cycles. Although the extreme left still exists, Doyle thinks they’ve lost some prominence, which he considers a positive shift.
