NPR Admits Joe Biden’s Immigrants Spike Crime in New York City

President Joe Biden’s immigration wave has led to a spike in crime in New York City, a trend acknowledged by National Public Radio (NPR).

NPR’s morning paper published an article Thursday that attempts to cover up Biden’s border crisis by trying to diminish claims of immigrant crimes as “politically charged.”

NPR’s Martin Caste wrote in a May 9 article: claimed that Claims that immigrant crime is on the rise are nothing more than right-wing politics being pushed by Republicans to re-elect former President Donald Trump to the White House in November.

“However, national statistics show no signs of an immigrant crime wave. Despite the surge in immigration, violent crime is trending down after a spike in 2020-2021. ” exclaims Mr. Caste.

However, Caste acknowledged in his report that many sources agree that crime is on the rise.

Carlos Chaparro, who runs a technical school in Queens, told NPR that Latin American neighborhoods have “seen an uptick in crime” over the past two years.

“My client says this on the way home.” [the school] “The number of people being attacked and robbed at night has increased over the past year,” Chaparro added.

Caste said he spoke with more than 20 people who also said crime was happening in their neighborhoods.

“It’s a daily thing. People on scooters like to pass by while you’re on the phone, and they accept it. What happens when you walk here every day? I don’t know,” Manhattan security guard Johnny Velasquez said.

And then there’s the news that Venezuela’s violent prison gang, Torren de Aragua, has invaded American shores and is bringing bloody and dangerous crime and violence across the country.

Despite this, NPR claims, “Violent crime is on the decline after a spike in 2020-2021, despite a surge in immigration.”

But this claim is already in the news, and this argument does not prove NPR’s claim. Most reporters rely on FBI crime statistics to show national crime trends, and the FBI’s numbers actually show a decline in crime rates.

However, the reason crime rates are softening is not because crime is actually decreasing, but rather due to changes in FBI reporting and the fact that far fewer police departments are reporting crimes to the FBI. It seems like there is.

As an example, the Coalition for Law, Order and Safety released a report in April showing that crime is actually higher than the FBI is reporting. according to On Fox News.

The reason for the discrepancy is “serious under-reporting of certain crimes.”

“The FBI’s data comes with a series of warnings, but the FBI hasn’t made it clear enough,” said the group’s Sean Kennedy.

Kennedy said that in the wake of the George Floyd riots, many major police departments have redefined some of their violent crime terms, often artificially altering crime statistics for political purposes. he added.

“If you classify something as an aggravated assault, it becomes a violent crime or a felony, but if you classify it as a simple assault, it becomes a misdemeanor, a nonviolent crime,” Kennedy explained. “It’s very different when it comes to how the media reports whether your department is fighting violent crime or not.”

Then there’s the FBI itself. Fox News added that in 2019, 89 percent of local police departments sent numbers to police. But during COVID-19, that reporting number dropped to less than 63 percent of departments reporting the statistic. Cities such as Los Angeles, New York City, and Chicago did not submit any statistics at all in 2023.

With so much data completely missing, it may seem obvious that the FBI’s numbers show a decline in crime.

Unsurprisingly, the NPR article claiming that crime is down said nothing about this.
