Nvidia CEO Discusses AI Impact with Fox Business
Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, shared insights with Fox Business, highlighting discussions with the Trump administration regarding the potential sale of advanced blackwell chips to China. He expressed confidence in the global adoption of American technology, suggesting that it could help the U.S. secure an advantage in the AI sector.
During his appearance on “Claman Countdown,” hosted by Liz Claman, Huang described his outlook on the ongoing talks as “optimistic.” However, he cautioned that a final agreement is not imminent. “I think this conversation will take some time,” he noted, explaining that President Trump recognizes the benefits of promoting American tech worldwide.
Huang emphasized his belief that AI represents a transformative industrial revolution that can enhance lifestyles. He mentioned, “I hope AI will create new jobs, although some roles will inevitably vanish.” This evolution, he believes, could lead to an increase in productivity, GDP growth, and the exploration of innovative ideas.
Reflecting on the societal changes accompanying industrial revolutions, Huang stated, “It’s natural for some jobs to disappear while many new opportunities will emerge.” He also ventured that advancements in productivity might eventually allow for a four-day workweek, offering individuals more time for family, travel, and personal pursuits.
Addressing Nvidia’s recent financial reports, Huang acknowledged that sales of the H20 chip in China have not yet materialized, but he remains hopeful about future orders. “We haven’t seen any orders so far, but we’re eager for them,” he remarked, referring to the chip’s impressive performance metrics.
The discussion underscored the complexities of the technology sector amidst geopolitical considerations, as export restrictions on AI chips have posed challenges. Huang’s full interview on “The Claman Countdown” is set to air on Fox Business Thursday at 3 PM.
