A Westchester County man who had lost too much power and didn't remember beating his companions on the sidewalk of the white plains was a cold Saturday on a stone when a ju-degree discovered he had committed a crime in murder.
Jare Diaz, 26, was found guilty of second-degree murder, but when sentenced on March 27, he faces the biggest 25-year prison sentence behind bars, prosecutors said. Ta.
“We are grateful for the ju-search verdict and the hard work of the prosecutor's team for this fair outcome,” Westchester County District Attorney Susan Kakers said in a statement.
“Guzman Desdicho's relentless assault was shattered on a cold November night and was unrecognised. This type of violence never becomes a normal part of everyday life in Westchester.”
Cacace called the fatal attack “not provoking.”
Diaz testified last week that he doesn't remember punching and kicking his friend Otoniel Guzman Dedicho over 30 times after hitting him after drinking on November 26, 2022.
“I have tried to remember since my first day in prison, but I have not,” he told his lawyer, Angelo McDonald.
Diaz is distraught on the night of the attack after his wife left him and took his young son to heavy drinking and marijuana use. Reported by Lohud.com.
He said he drank beer and Bacardi rum before he was worn out with the victim around 11:30pm.
Two cameras won a conflict. This was covered by a coin laundry on East Post Road. This showed the two going into a drunken, shoved match before Diaz attacked his friend, the outlet said.
At one point, the video shows Diaz dragging a Digico onto the ground.
The victim was on life support at Westchester Medical Center and died three days later.
Diaz has been held at the Westchester County Jail without bail since November 28, 2022.
