NYC councilwoman quits women’s caucus to protest anti-Israel agenda

NYC Council Woman Inna Vernikov said in an interview with Fox Friends on Monday that she had left the NYC Council Women's Caucus on anti-Israel agenda.

“I simply asked the Women's Caucus, which was part of the New York City Council, to issue a simple statement, denounce terrorists, support these women, and seek the release of hostages that are still being held.” Vernikov explained.

“Unfortunately, the New York City Council Women's Caucus is a woman's caucus made up of more than 30 women who are supposed to stand up against women and women's rights, simply denounce terrorists and can't launch women. She said, “I'm out of that caucus.”

“Unfortunately, the Democrats are heading towards the left,” she said. “We need to stand up, we can't be cowards. We can't continue to elect spineless officials to get up, and women only if it's politically convenient for us. You can't stand up for it.”

Vernikov said she was “very grateful” to President Donald Trump for his strong stance on the Israel-Hamas war.
