NYC motorist killed, 4 hurt — including 9-year-old girl — in three-vehicle collision on Brooklyn-Queens Expressway

An elderly man was killed and four others, including a 9-year-old girl, were injured in a three-vehicle crash near the Kosciuszko Bridge in Queens on Thursday, police said.

Around 10:50 a.m., three vehicles collided on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, just before the entrance to the freeway into northern Brooklyn.

Five people were injured in the crash, including a 75-year-old man who was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Four more victims were rushed to the same hospital, including a 9-year-old girl who was in stable condition.

A video posted to the Citizen shows one vehicle rolling precariously sideways against a highway barrier and a pickup truck smashed into the rear.

You can also see a green taxi parked on the rainy road.

The westbound Kosciuszko Bridge was closed in the aftermath of the crash.
