NYC suspect escapes Bellevue Hospital, seen walking using cane

The New York Police Department is searching for a man who escaped from police custody while at Bellevue Hospital early Saturday morning, authorities said.

Christopher Miller, 23, of Manhattan, was being treated at a hospital around 3:50 a.m. when he left his room and fled through a side entrance near East 28th Street and FDR Drive, the NYPD said. .

Police said Miller is about 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 160 pounds and has black hair.

When officers last saw him, he was wearing a gray sweatsuit and carrying a black cane.
