A 57-year-old woman was shot in the face and killed inside a lower Manhattan apartment Monday night.
Police said the woman was found dead in an eighth-floor hallway of the Two Bridges building at 44 Market St. just after 11 p.m.
Police said the two suspects fled the building after the fatal shooting.
As of early Tuesday morning, the pair remained at large.
The NYPD did not release the identity of the victim as authorities were working to notify family members.
The 12-story building where she was killed has 16 apartments, each with a balcony offering a view of the Manhattan Bridge.
The building also houses a kindergarten and commercial space on the first floor.
The two-bedroom, two-bathroom, three-balcony home currently for sale has an asking price of $1.38 million, according to online ads.
The investigation is ongoing.
