Police in New York City are searching for the suspect who burned a man early Sunday in the middle of Times Square in a horrifying attack that reflected a metro murder earlier this year.
The 45-year-old surviving victim was at a tourist attraction in Midtown Manhattan around 4am. Confirmed by WABC. Firefighters worked with police to eliminate the flames, and the severely burned victims were taken to a local hospital.
The man told police he first threw liquid at him and then approached the man who set him on fire.

“I've heard all of this and don't know what's going on, especially on the train, what's going on on the subway, and what's going on with the people who want to set fire to light people,” city resident Stephen Ortiz told WABC. “I don't understand. It's very inhumane. Especially in the middle of Times Square, it's crazy, that doesn't make sense.”
“It's a fun time to go out into town on Sunday mornings, so I'm a bit shocked,” says Cathy Holland. He told News 4.
