The New York Police Department is preparing to revoke Donald Trump’s concealed carry permit after a jury convicted him of numerous felony charges last week.
CNN report In fact, the permit was suspended on April 1, 2023, after President Trump was indicted on various charges. The NYPD will not merely suspend the permit, but will revoke it entirely.
of The New York Times I got it.“Under federal law and state laws in New York and Florida, people who have been convicted of a felony are prohibited from possessing a firearm.”
The New York Police Department is investigating the matter, and it is expected that Trump’s permit will be revoked once the investigation is complete, but Trump “reserves the right to challenge this action.”
President Trump is licensed to possess three specific handguns, two of which were turned over to the NYPD on March 31, 2023. The third was “lawfully transported to Florida,” according to a senior law enforcement official.
CBS News I got it. Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts last week. Since his conviction, both his approval rating and campaign contributions have risen.
