Georgia Police Seek Man Who Trespassed to Enjoy Pool and Hot Tub

Police in Georgia are searching for an unusual trespasser who entered a stranger’s pool area and hot tub, where he was caught on camera having a peculiar encounter with a rubber duck before absconding with approximately $1,200 worth of towels.

The incident occurred near Savannah, and surveillance footage captured the unidentified man indulging in the homeowner’s amenities, including a rather strange interaction with a rubber duck wearing sunglasses while in the hot tub.

The Chatham County Police Department shared details about this bizarre occurrence on Facebook. They described how the intruder not only trespassed but also became fixated on the rubber duck, spending over ten minutes in intense engagement with it.

“While in the hot tub, the man is seen on video showing a strange obsession with a rubber duck,” the police department noted.

Though it might not be the most significant crime reported this month, it has certainly raised eyebrows. “It has a lot of ick-factor,” they remarked, expressing a desire to find the man to prevent him from repeating this odd behavior.

The footage indicated that the trespasser was in the yard between 2:15 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on September 1. While police didn’t elaborate on the specifics of the man’s antics during this fixation, a grainy still shot from the video seemed to suggest he may have been kissing or nibbling at the toy.

In addition to the rubber duck antics, he managed to steal six bath towels valued at about $200 each.

The police are urging anyone who recognizes the man from the images or has any knowledge about the incident to reach out and provide assistance.
