Oddsmakers react to mock draft with Giants landing J.J. McCarthy

Take down another mock drafter who believes the Giants are cheating on him with Michigan quarterback JJ McCarthy.

peter schrager The Giants are not only acquiring McCarthy, they’re trading up for him, and the betting world is taking note of his keenness to use his acumen to figure out the team’s plans.

McCarthy is currently +350 to be picked by the Giants at Bet365 Sportsbook, a significant drop from odds of 16/1 in early March and slightly lower than his previous +550.

These are the third-best odds on the market behind the Minnesota Vikings at +120 and the New England Patriots at +260.

Schrager is not the only draft pick the Giants are strongly considering taking to replace current starting pitcher Daniel Jones, and the Post’s Ryan Dunleavy has suggested that the Giants should select McCarthy to replace current starting pitcher Daniel Jones. However, that’s why they sit in 6th place.

Ever since the Giants scouted North Carolina signal-caller Drake Maye during the regular season, there has been growing talk of drafting a quarterback.

Maye doesn’t look like he’ll be available for the Giants at 6, but McCarthy could be, and that seems to be the trend at the moment.

McCarthy won a national championship as a member of the Michigan Wolverines, but wasn’t asked to do much as the team went undefeated.

But some will argue that he met the team’s needs and received enthusiastic support from coach Jim Harbaugh that he should be the No. 1 pick.

It doesn’t seem like he can go that high, but he’s -155 to be in the top five of the draft.

However, Will Levis was in second place overall at this point with -10000 points, but ultimately fell to the second round in a free fall, so it didn’t mean much after last season.

Like when Paolo Banchero was taken No. 1 overall in the 2022 NBA Draft at +700, his draft odds dropped dramatically after NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski was found to be wrong. There are many examples of companies that are ahead of their time.

There are many examples where Mr. Schrager’s information was solid, and bettors should always be careful.

You may remember Schrager’s accuracy when the Jets drafted Sauce Gardner with the fourth pick. Kyle Shanahan’s attraction to Mac Jones.

Although Shanahan was ultimately rejected by general manager John Lynch and others, he has a clear connection to that coaching tree.

Schrager’s first mock draft moved the lines of many other NFL draft prospects, including the Rams, who ended up drafting their first offensive player under head coach Sean McVay.

Los Angeles had a -150 advantage in drafting a defensive lineman in the first round, but that quickly turned in favor of an offensive lineman at +125.

The wide receivers are also on the move, and while they were scheduled to draft a receiver to pair with Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua at 17/1, they’ve dropped to +800 on FanDuel.
