Ohio library book is returned nearly a century overdue: ‘Even has a very neat little bookmark left in it’

A recent, much-delayed return to an Ohio library was a collection of poems originally scheduled for 1931.

The Licking County Library, which has six physical locations in Licking County, Ohio, posted a Reel on Instagram on Wednesday, February 14th, highlighting recently returned books.

The video points out, “This book is 93 years past its expiration date.”

The video revealed the contents of the book and indicated that it was originally scheduled for publication in November 1931.

“A patron recently found this poetry book at her great-aunt’s house and returned it,” the video says.

The book “Heart Throbs” was originally published in 1905.

The book claims that 50,000 people contributed to its content.

Although it was an old book, it seemed to have been carefully stored outside the library.

“There’s also a very neat little bookmark left,” the video says.

You can imagine the amount of late fees that have accrued over the 90 years since books were due to be returned to libraries, but libraries do not charge patrons or others who return books late.

In the video, the Licking County Library says it is now “fine-free.” This means you won’t be charged a penalty for late returns.

According to the Licking County Library website, the Newark Public Library is now known as the Licking County Library’s Downtown Newark location.

According to the Licking County Library website, the library has been at its current location since 2000, having moved several times since its founding in the late 19th century.

At the time “Heart Throbs” was rented out, the library was located about a quarter-mile down the road from its current location, according to its website.
