Authorities said an Ohio tourist was stung while playing football in knee-deep water on a Florida beach on the Fourth of July.
Authorities say a 21-year-old man from Ohio was playing football in knee-high water in New Smyrna Beach when he was bitten on the right leg by a shark.
Police say the attack happened on Thursday, July 4th at 4pm.
The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The July 4th shark attack came after four people were injured on a Texas beach the same day.
The South Padre Island Police Department and the U.S. Coast Guard’s Atlantic Region confirmed to Fox News Digital that four people were injured in an encounter with a marine predator off South Padre Island. South coast of the state.

Police said the attack happened around 11am local time along Beach Access 14, near Wana Wana Beach Bar and Grill.
