There’s something timeless about a win in overtime.
On Thursday night in Edmonton, the significant others of Oilers player Leon Draisaitl celebrated after he scored the overtime goal that evened the series 2-2 in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals against the Panthers, which took place in Sunrise, Florida.
Lauren Kyle McDavid, the wife of Oilers Captain Conor McDavid, shared glimpses on her Instagram Story, showcasing the vibrant atmosphere at Bartrob in Edmonton during the festivities.

Edmonton fell behind early, allowing the first three goals in the opening period at Amerant Bank Arena. Having lost to Florida in the finals last year, they were clearly seeking redemption.
In a thrilling turn, the Oilers came back to tie the game 3-3, thanks to defenseman Jake Walman, who later helped push Edmonton to a 4-3 lead midway through the third period.
However, Panthers center Sam Reinhart tied the game again at 4-4, which ultimately sent the match into overtime.
Draisaitl once again proved to be the hero, mirroring his earlier overtime performance in Game 1.
“We’re a resilient group, that’s for sure,” said the Heart Trophy finalist. “We’re not stopping, no matter what. We’ll take this win and head home.”
Game 5 is set to return to Edmonton on Saturday, followed by Game 6 back in Florida on Tuesday.
If needed, a decisive Game 7 would occur in Edmonton the following Friday.
Interestingly, Mrs. McDavid and the other Oilers partners had missed Game 1 of the series while attending a bachelorette party for Celeste Desjardin, who is engaged to Draisaitl. They were watching the thrilling Game 1 victory from 30,000 feet while traveling abroad.
The last time the Oilers claimed the Stanley Cup was in 1990.
