Oklahoma Aims to Create a Turning Point Chapter in Every High School

Ryan Walters, the principal of Oklahoma State, has announced a partnership with Turning Point USA (TPUSA) and plans to set up chapters of the organization in every high school across the state.

TPUSA will support students from public, private, and homeschool environments in forming these chapters, provided there are at least three students willing to participate from each school. According to a press release from the Oklahoma Department of Education, representatives from the organization will assist in raising awareness about the clubs, providing materials and support, and helping to find teachers willing to sponsor the chapters.

In a post on X, Walters stated, “The union of radical left-wing teachers has long dominated the classroom. We’re bringing them back.”

The announcement emphasized that TPUSA offers students nationwide the opportunity to organize and advocate for American values within their schools.

The Oklahoma Department of Education has also recently formed a partnership with TPUSA, aiming to engage citizens as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary. The coalition, comprising over 40 organizations, intends to reignite patriotism, enhance civic literacy, and encourage Americans of all ages to appreciate the country’s founding principles.

Charlie Kirk, the founder of TPUSA, was assassinated on September 10 during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University. He was known for engaging students on controversial issues, including abortion and gender ideology.

In the wake of his death, many teachers, administrators, and students have expressed a range of reactions, some positive, others less sympathetic.

Walters further remarked, “Charlie Kirk has inspired a generation that loves America, speaks boldly, and never shies away from tough discussions. Our kids need to be involved and active. We’re pushing back against liberal propaganda, faced with the radical left and teachers’ unions. Our fight begins now.”
